Role Description
Do you have a keen interest and familiarity with the latest developments in the creative technology industry? Are you passionate about innovating and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in Film and TV?
We're looking for a software developer to join our growing team and make their mark building our hugely popular video editing software, Lightworks, for the creative Film and TV industry.
Responsibilities
- Working across the full product lifecycle, from initial fact finding through to design,
development and beyond
- Refactor and rewrite existing code to improve quality, reliability and maintainability
- Proactively test new and existing functionality to ensure the highest levels of quality
- Actively participate in team design discussions, sharing responsibilities and cultivate the
adoption of best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Fluency in C++
- You thrive while working independently within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- You’re a team-player, who is customer-focussed
- A passion for forging high end user experiences
Preferred
- Previous experience developing innovative and cutting-edge software solutions
- Knowledge of Windows, Linux and Mac OSX operating systems
- Familiarity with OpenGL, DirectX and shader writing, or more general graphics programming
- Experience of working in film or graphics software pipelines
- Practical knowledge of multi-threading, GPU software development
- Knowledge of video codecs / transcoding
