Hi, a very noob here!
I have a dual screen set up previously been using Avid Liquid on XP. I now have Win 7 (32bit) and decided to try out Lightworks (completely new learning curve!! eek) However when I first installed Lightworks 10, to get Dual screen to work I had to tick "Show Windows Titlebar" then untick then all would be fine. Now since updating to 10.0.3 when I tick "Show Windows Titlebar" then untick it, the right hand screen becomes corrupt in as much as I cannot drag or use any windows that were previously put there and the titlebar is still there although not in the left hand one.. Hope this makes sense!!

Darren

Your CPU looks a little underpowered for Lightworks. Here are the minimum specifications:

* A PC computer with Intel Core Duo, Intel Xeon, or AMD processor
* 2 GB of RAM (3GB recommended)
* A PCI Express graphics card with 256MB memory or higher
* A display with 1024 x 768 resolution or higher (1440 x 900 or higher recommended)
* Windows XP Professional SP2 or Windows 7 (32 bit or 64bit)
* QuickTime 7.6.6 or later
* 100 MB of disk space required to install Lightworks
* Dedicated media hard drive (7200rpm or higher)

I wonder if that could be a factor?
Dell Inspiron 560MT. Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 Processor (2.50GHz, 4MB cache, 1333MHz FSB). Processor. 6 GB Dual Channel DDR3 [2x2048 + 2x1024]. 1TB (7200 rpm) SATA Internal HDD. 2TB WD External 1021 SATA HDD (7200 rpm), ITB Toshiba External HDD (7200 rpm), ATI Radeon HD 5450. Samsung SyncMaster S23B35OH LED monitor. EchoAudio Mia 24/96 soundcard. Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1. QuickTime Pro v7.7.3, Windows 7 firewall, Microsoft Security Essentials AV.

Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. (duel boot)

From here:
AMD’s DirectX 9 ATI Radeon graphics accelerators are not officially supported under Windows 7. If the user chooses to, they can install the ATI Catalyst Windows Vista graphics driver under Windows 7. Please be aware that none of the new Windows 7 graphics driver (WDDM 1.1) features are supported (as the Windows Vista level graphics driver is limited to WDDM 1.0 level support). Using the ATI Catalyst Windows Vista driver under Windows 7 is not officially supported by AMD, and as such AMD will not provide any form of customer support for users running in this configuration

Your graphic card and CPU are surely underpowered for LW under Win7. You'll gain much better results using WinXP SP3 with real DX9 ATi driver, not WDDM one.

Great! thank you for all your replies! it's what I feared. I'll stick with Liquid until I can afford to upgrade!

Or 'downgrade'? I'm sure you can use LW & Liquid under Win XP on given hardware, with much better results. The problem is in Vista/Win7 different approach to graphic subsystem. And as long as we talk about 2D this approach is worse, than XP's one.

It's an alternative! I could probably create a dual boot system. With a clean XP instal with no connection to the internet or any other software installed.
Will give it a go!
I do have Ubuntu 10.10 installed but no LW yet available!
