Windows XP Pro SP3 2Gig memory Radeon 9600 video card.

Finally was able to load LW and get it to start. Upon attempting to import existing clips from off the hard drive, it fails every attempt to import small or large clips in any format. In .avi it reports that the format is not supported. In .mpg it returns an "Unable to inmport" report. In .mp4 it says "Failed to import" and "Import error". .mov formats come up saying the import was done but when I try to preview it or use it, it shows "media offline" and then crashes the program.

Recording clips from the DV camera being sure all parameters are set (NTSC 4:3 30 fps), it shows the static opening shot in the standby window but when I attempt to record it returns the message "Recording cancelled :Recording cancelled due to an internal error"

Frustrated, to say the least but I hope this helps the developers work out the bugs.

I routinely do all of these mentioned processes in Avid's Pinnacle 9 and Pinnacle 12 programs so I know there's no real problem with the hardware.

Hi Dadoc.

Sorry for asking the obvious, but did you install the recommended Matrox codec as well?
That seemed to solve some starting issues for me...?

Cheers.

Eric.

Yes, that's what finally allowed me to run the software at all. Until that extra X86 codec, it wouldn't even start after installation. Now it starts and I can access each part of the program, but just can't get any video clips to import or record.
