I set the frame rate for the project at 30fps, that's what I shot the video in.

Any still images in the edit?

Nope, just a short video with 2 edits, a fade in at the beginning and a fade out at the end (already rendered via the "advanced" tab on the timeline).

Have you tried exporting without having rendered the edit first?

yep. had the same issues. AVI straight transfer worked but with the split screen and no audio, pulled down transfer gave me the timeout error, and trying to export as quicktime gave me a "failed to initialize rendering engine" error regardless of what the transfer speed was. So I rendered the effects to see if that would fix things.

If you change the "Display optimisation" setting on the Video tab of the Project Card to "Frames" then export the edit again (without it being rendered first) as "straight" is the export then correct?
