I just found out about the open source beta for Linux/Mac that's coming at the end of the year (hopefully), and I would dearly love to see support for .ogg, .ogv, and webm codecs. Given that the Lightworks tool is becoming open source, it would be silly to ship without these codecs included.

If the development team reads these forums, PLEASE add support for these codecs - this is a huge part of my daily workflow and would greatly speed things up for me.

/bump for the May 28 release

Please consider adding a patch to include support for .ogv and .webm if it's not natively in the product. This is a *very* big part of my workflow and as the world moves to HTML 5 more folks will need the ability to use one of these video formats.

Thanks!

Hi shuck,
Usually those formats are for output not necessarily for editing with. Are you trying to edit with those formats? If not, you can always export your project at a high setting and then recompress in another program like ffmpeg or handbrake.
