TOPIC: Interface Colour Themes

Re: Interface Colour Themes 2 years, 3 months ago #4769

@Hammerhead. I just tried adding the line to config.dat in the LW programme folder. I changed the file extension to txt and opened it in Notepad, added the line, but Windows won't let me save it (access denied).

That's presumably a Windows permissions thing - can you try running notepad as an administrator?

Don't rename the file, just drag and drop it to Notepad, add your line and then save. Done.

Yes, that works. Thanks again.

I have made the change but can't see any difference in brightness even at 0.9.

Do I need to add a # at the beginning of the line or not? I have tried it both ways and still no joy.

This is the content of my config.dat

{ config

# This is the current config.dat for RnD use. The regsitry
# settings in config.reg will also need to be imported into
# the registry for the app to work.

run_always 1

#jitDebugger 1

#AudioUseDigitalOutputs 1
} config

brighten 0.9

@SMPpse. Dragging config.dat to Notepad has no effect even when I have opened the programme by right clicking and selecting "Run as Administrator"

Sorry shaunthesheep, I should have made that clear - you have to add new lines somewhere between the pair of curly braces ( '{', '}'). Lines starting with a '#' character are ignored.

Also, I don't recall whether it's case-sensitive - probably best to assume that it is and use 'Brighten' too.
