Nice little GUI for doing some video compositing work. Based on the OpenVFX standard.

The video is in French, but it’s quite easy to follow from the screenshots they use.

PS Anyone know how they’re creating that screen grab video in Ubuntu?

Why does an effect symbol SQUARE appear INSIDE the video channel timeline, and a corresponding duration line BELOW in the next V channel?

It seem dis-associated.

I have a final scene that is a split screen of 3 images. (done)

I want to do these three effects:

Key sharp titles
over blurred video
then fade both to black

Do I need to apply effects in a certain order?
Blur first, then key? (my results are that both are blurred)

Hey, I'm new. I can't seem to find a thread on putting green screen effects onto the main video, they seem to be the other way around. To clarify, I'm not looking to put videos onto my main video which has green screen. Instead, I want to put greenscreen snow in front of my main video. How do I do this?

I made a burning text to insert at the front of my clip for about 10 sec. I wanted to animate the flames I made three frames to test and insert them in the black on the time line then copied ect. it was a mess. Should I animate in paint.net and import Gif. to LW? Im not sure what to do,I just learned what a sprite is.

This is my first post in this forum (well in any forum actually), so I hope I'm putting this in the right place. I've done my best to search for a solution already and to no avail, so I hope this isn't a redundant topic.

I'm having a problem with adding effects to multiple clips in an edit. I first added a dissolve effect to all the clips using the "matching clips" option. I'm now wanting to add a DVE effect to a few clips of the same "shot"; however when I go through the process of choosing the "matching clips" option and then "add", nothing happens (I have chosen the correct criteria as well - "where shot is equal to [shot_name]"). It appears that once a clip has an effect, you can no longer add additional affects through the "matching clips" method. I can still add them individually (current clip), but never to more than one at a time.

Is there a way around this? I have multiple edits with 30+ clips per edit, so it would definitely be more convenient to be able to add the effects to more than one at a time.

Now my other option would be to create a custom effect with both the dissolve and DVE together and then add those at the same time using the "matching clips" option; however, all my clips already have one effect bound to them. It would take just as long to go through one at a time right clicking each clip and "removing" all the effects before I could add the new custom effect. It would be nice to be able to clear all the effects off of an edit at once ... I've also searched for that functionality, but I haven't been able to find anything. Does such a command exist?

I'd appreciate any help you guys can give me. I'm still quite new to lightworks, but I'm lovin' it so far!

How to do this built-in capabilities?
